Brigade Terms of Agreement
Terms of Agreement and platform disclaimer
This page describes what Brigade is, what it is not, and the responsibilities users, restaurants, and public visitors accept when using or viewing the platform. It is not a substitute for formal lawyer-drafted terms of service, a privacy policy, insurance, entity formation, or advice from qualified professionals.
Agreement to these terms
By creating an account, checking the Terms of Agreement box, publishing content, using Brigade tools, browsing Discover, downloading materials, or viewing a public Brigade profile, you acknowledge and agree to the platform boundaries described on this page.
You understand that Brigade is a tool for drafting, organizing, publishing, and discovering culinary profile materials. You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, permissions, and appropriateness of anything you enter, upload, publish, download, share, rely on, or use outside the platform.
Current nature of Brigade
Brigade is currently operated as an experimental, non-commercial personal project for organizing culinary portfolios, resumes, and public profile discovery. It is not presented as an LLC, corporation, partnership, incorporated business, employment agency, staffing agency, recruiter, school, legal service, professional advisor, or employer.
Brigade does not currently charge users for access, sell subscriptions, collect placement fees, broker employment, place candidates into jobs, employ candidates, employ restaurants, make hiring decisions, or represent either side of any hiring process.
Candidate-facing tools on Brigade are intended to help users draft, organize, and present their own materials. Restaurant-facing discovery tools are intended to help visitors browse public profiles. Any communication, interview, trial shift, offer, contract, employment relationship, or hiring decision happens outside Brigade and is the responsibility of the parties involved.
Non-commercial project boundaries
Brigade should be understood as a limited, non-commercial software project and public showcase tool, not as an operating hiring business. The platform does not hold itself out as a talent agent, recruiter, staffing marketplace, headhunter, employer of record, payroll provider, professional services firm, or placement intermediary.
Brigade does not negotiate compensation, receive commissions, guarantee interviews, verify eligibility to work, sponsor employment, supervise users, manage restaurant recruiting processes, or create any agency, partnership, joint venture, employment, contractor, fiduciary, or representative relationship with users.
Nothing on Brigade should be interpreted as a promise that a user, restaurant, owner, contributor, visitor, or third party is legally permitted to take any particular action. Each party is responsible for its own legal, tax, employment, corporate, licensing, insurance, and compliance obligations.
No professional advice
Content generated, displayed, or suggested by Brigade is for general informational, drafting, organization, and presentation purposes only. It is not legal, tax, accounting, insurance, employment, recruiting, HR, educational, food-safety, compliance, or career advice.
Users are responsible for reviewing and verifying their own resumes, portfolios, cover letters, tags, public profiles, restaurant information, messages, AI-generated drafts, and uploaded materials before using them in any real application, hiring, or business context. Users and restaurants should consult qualified professionals for questions about their specific legal or business obligations.
Hiring and candidate disclaimer
Brigade is a publishing and discovery tool. It does not verify every credential, school, work history, certification, right-to-work status, reference, resume claim, portfolio item, photo, restaurant affiliation, public profile, or user statement.
Restaurants and hiring teams are responsible for conducting their own interviews, reference checks, background checks, work-authorization checks, wage/hour compliance, offer letters, workplace policies, and any legally required hiring procedures.
User content and uploaded materials
Users are solely responsible for the content they enter, upload, publish, share, or download through Brigade. Users should only upload materials they have the right to use and should avoid posting private, confidential, infringing, false, misleading, harmful, discriminatory, or unlawful content.
Brigade may display user-generated portfolio content, resume information, profile tags, images, and public profile data exactly or approximately as submitted. Brigade is not responsible for disputes between users, restaurants, employers, schools, photographers, former employers, or other third parties arising from user-submitted content.
No warranties
Brigade is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. There are no warranties or guarantees of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, reliability, availability, security, uninterrupted operation, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, non-infringement, job placement, hiring outcome, or compliance with any law, policy, rule, or third-party requirement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Brigade and its owner are not responsible for losses, damages, claims, disputes, missed opportunities, hiring decisions, rejected applications, employment issues, compliance issues, data loss, service interruptions, inaccurate AI output, user content, third-party conduct, or other harms arising from use of or reliance on the platform.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability or disclaimers of warranties, so portions of this disclaimer may not apply in every situation. This page is not a replacement for formal terms of service, privacy policies, insurance, entity formation, or legal review.
If Brigade later becomes a commercial product, incorporated entity, paid service, recruiter, staffing marketplace, agency, or formal employer-facing hiring platform, these notices should be reviewed and replaced with lawyer-drafted terms of service, privacy policy, compliance disclaimers, and business/entity documents.
